Pecan Squares

Some years back a client of my husband sent him home with some baked goodies. A talented lady in every sense of the word who also has a passion for cooking and baking gave him these pecan squares. It turned out that we all loved this dessert so much and asked her for the recipe. Willingly she shared it and we have made it a number of times since.

It is one of the richest, tastiest morsels I have ever eaten. The crust is shortbread like and the filling is liken to that of a pecan pie - minus the bourbon. It's just divine, really divine.
